A baby's eye view

This is the view from grandma Char and grandpa Bud's backyard.  I wonder what he's thinking.

Silliness

Aidan skipped a nap one afternoon this week.  Erin said he was a whole boat load of silliness.

Then he crashed with tears and angry cries before bedtime.  No need to take photos of that though.

Hats off for Aidan

Having inherited his dad's skin, Aidan needs everything he can to keep the sun from burning him.

But he prefers to eat it.

A new friend?

Maybe, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Just saying hi

Skype is possibly the greatest invention for us right now.  And learning how to capture a screen shot has been the greatest thing I've achieved today.  Thanks Char.

Not dad's best pose.

What's he typing?

An email, dad.  I'm multi-tasking.

Erin has given the little fella a spare keyboard as he likes to bash ours.  We don't like that. But as he now has his own he can do what he wants with it.

Getting ready to go

I think the next time I see Aidan he'll be crawling.  Erin said he was getting ready to go and the last few weeks while he was here he was rolling around and getting to places diagonally.  He looks pretty pleased with himself perched on his arms, doesn't he?

New beginnings

Looks like Aidan's acclimatising to his new surroundings with the US side of the family nicely.

Gone gone gone

'Is it perfect?'
No, it's far from that, I thought.
'Huh?' was my reply.
The man standing with me at Starbucks pointed at the sign which stated that they strived for perfection and would give money back if their product wasn't.
My coffee was all right, I wasn't.  I'd just said bye to Erin and Aidan at the airport.

Most of you will know Erin left for the US on Tuesday.  So did Aidan.  We've decided to move there and I'm finishing up my work here while waiting for my visa to come through. Like a  typical bloke I concentrated on other things before they went and tried to avoid thinking about the black hole they would leave in the flat.  And my life.  It's short term, I know, but it's pretty dark.

Having said this, I've spoken to Erin quite a lot since they left, seen Aidan on Skype - just now, and photos are being taken which I'm going to post soon.

We'll cope, but I do miss them.

Ooops

Looks like I didn't just make one mistake yesterday.  Both of the foods I defrosted weren't ones he had had before.  This is a bit of a no no.  And might be why he's a little stinky today.
